Competition Description
The Yale High School Ethics Invitational, hosted by the Yale Society of Ethics, an organization at Yale University, is a groundbreaking initiative that brings together high school students from across the world to discuss the issues of our time.

We at YUSE, have always believed in philosophical and ethical debate in academic settings. The importance of intellectual debate in the modern age cannot be understated, and its proliferation is a core tenet to our society’s existence. We also believe in the importance of fostering these discussions amongst all age groups, from tenured professors to freshmen in high school; ethical dilemmas are timeless. That is why, starting in 2024, YUSE in partnership with CUSY–Chinese Undergraduate Society at Yale–had co-founded the US-China Ethics Bowl. Where high schoolers from schools in China and high schoolers from schools in the United States compete in an ethics bowl competition.
Starting in 2026, YUSE has revolutionized its approach to high school intellectual discourse by creating its very own international invitational. This invitational focuses on problem-solving teamed with ethical discourse, in order to maximize accessibility to the competition while also promoting diverse perspectives. This year it will be open to American high schools and international high schools
