Yale High School Ethics Fellowship
Promoting High School Ethics Learning
Fellowship Details
The Yale High School Ethics Fellowship, hosted by the Yale Society of Ethics, an organization at Yale University, is a groundbreaking initiative that brings together high school students in the United States and abroad to learn about ethics in all spheres of life.
We at YUSE, have always believed in philosophical and ethical debate in academic settings. The importance of intellectual debate in the modern age cannot be understated, and its proliferation is a core tenet to our society’s existence. We also believe in the importance of fostering these discussions amongst all age groups, from tenured professors to freshmen in high school; ethical dilemmas are timeless.
That is why, starting in Spring 2024, YUSE began the YUSE Highschool Fellowship.
The fellowship consists of virtual sessions involving discussions with other fellows and Yale students on various ethical philosophies and dilemmas, and an in-person one day symposium on Yale's campus. The symposium centers around a discussion with a Yale professor as guest speaker, and also includes group bonding activities between fellows, a tour of campus, and time to chat with Yale Ethics Society members about philosophy, college, or anything of the like.
